How duty-free shopping works
- 1Bring your passport and flight details
Downtown and online duty-free shops ask for your passport and your departure flight out of Korea.
- 2Shop in the store or online
You pay when you buy, but you don't take the bag with you.
- 3Pick it up at the airport
On your departure day, after immigration, go to the duty-free pickup counter with your passport and boarding pass.
- NOTEYou can't use it during your trip
Duty-free goods are handed over only when you leave. Want to use something in Seoul? Buy it at a regular store and claim a tax refund instead.
